Greg Thompson

Greg Thompson is a highly experienced professional with a robust background in wireless technology and network strategy. Currently serving as a Sr Design Specialist at TELUS since October 2019, Greg is recognized as a subject matter expert adept at tracking complex dependencies, assessing risks, and effectively communicating evolving plans to stakeholders and senior management. Greg's extensive experience also includes a long tenure as an FIVB International Beach Volleyball Referee since 2007, officiating at prestigious events including the London 2012 Olympics and the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Prior roles in the telecom sector include significant positions at Three UK as Radio Strategy & Architecture Manager and multiple roles at Vodafone UK, culminating in leadership positions that shaped radio network strategy, planning, and implementation. Greg holds a BEng (Hons) in Electronic Engineering from Solent University and an HND in Electronic Engineering, Marine Communications from Southampton Institute.
