Tom Blakely

Tom Blakely has extensive experience in technology strategy and project management within the telecommunications and oilfield services sectors. Currently serving as the Manager of Technology Strategy at TELUS since March 2017, Tom oversees the NGM Greenfield Program Management Office and has previously led various teams on PureFibre construction projects to deliver large-scale telecommunication infrastructure. Prior to TELUS, Tom held managerial positions at Virgin Technologies, focusing on operations in satellite communication, and Rigsmart Systems, where Tom managed projects for anti-collision systems. Tom began a career in instrumentation with RigWatch Instrumentation, leading a team of technicians and ensuring quality customer service. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology.
