Samrat Lal

Samrat Lal currently serves as Director of Financial Services Investments at Temasek since January 2022, focusing on financial services and fintech investments in Southeast Asia and India. Additionally, Samrat has been a Board Member at Pine Labs since January 2023. Prior to these roles, Samrat worked at Morgan Stanley from March 2010 to January 2022, where the position as Executive Director in the Investment Banking Division involved leading the Southeast Asia Financial Institutions Group. Samrat's experience includes significant advisory roles on high-profile transactions, such as advising Techcombank on its US$922 million IPO and managing various partnerships in the bancassurance sector. Educational credentials include a PGDM in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and an H.S.C. in Computer Science from Jai Hind College.
