Cormac Driver

Head of Product Engineering at Temboo

Cormac Driver has worked in a variety of roles since 2000. Cormac began their career as an Intern at DreTec Software Ltd. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as a Lecturer at Dublin Institute of Technology. In 2007, they conducted post-doctoral research with Lero (the Irish Software Engineering Research Centre) at Trinity College Dublin. In 2008, they founded Echodio (funded by Y Combinator, acquired by RealNetworks), which was the easiest way to sync iTunes playlists, ratings and play counts across multiple Macs. From 2009 to 2012, they worked at RealNetworks as a Product, responsible for working with C-level leadership to identify, evaluate and execute on digital media product opportunities. Since 2012, they have been the Head of Product Engineering at Temboo, a software platform that makes it easier for anyone use internet-connected sensors.

Cormac Driver attended Y Combinator in 2009. Cormac then attended Trinity College Dublin from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a PhD in Mobile, Context-Aware Computing. Cormac also earned an MSc in Networks and Distributed Systems from Trinity College Dublin in 2001. Finally, they attended Technological University Dublin from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a BSc in Business Information Systems.
