Jared Morris serves as the Director for the City of Tempe since November 2022, where notable achievements include hosting President Biden and 30 national broadcasters on short notice and establishing the first Real-Time Operations Center for emergency city services within one year. Previously, Jared held the position of Chief at VIA Metropolitan Transit from September 2021 to November 2022, overseeing a team that supported 36 million riders in a major U.S. city. Jared's prior experience includes leadership roles at the Edwards Aquifer Authority, where responsibilities encompassed management of one of the world's most productive aquifers, and involvement with the International Genomics Consortium on the nation's largest cancer study. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration and IT Management from West Texas A&M University, Executive Education in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Business Administration and Computer Information Technology from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
