Ryan Cox

Ryan Cox is the current Director of Engineering at Temporal Technologies. Ryan has over 20 years of experience in the field, having worked their way up from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer to Senior Engineering Manager. Ryan has worked for notable companies such as Lyft, thePlatform, and NetApp.

At Temporal Technologies, Ryan is responsible for leading the engineering team and overseeing all engineering projects. Ryan works closely with other departments to ensure that projects are on track and meet deadlines. Ryan also provides input on strategic decisions and helps to ensure that the company meets all relevant certifications.

Before joining Temporal Technologies, Ryan was the Senior Engineering Manager at Lyft. Ryan was responsible for building, managing, and leading the organization that owned the Incident Response, Detection Infrastructure, Cloud Security, and Corporate Security teams. Ryan also established and drove multi-year roadmaps across security and engineering counterpart teams. Ryan regularly communicated incident findings and strategic input to executive leadership, legal counsel, and cross functional stakeholders. Ryan also partnered with engineering leadership to align roadmaps and prioritize the long-term security vision. As a technical subject matter expert, they were a key contributor in obtaining SOC2, SOX, NIST 800-171, and other certifications.

Prior to their role at Lyft, Ryan was a Senior Software Engineer at thePlatform from January 2015 to June 2016. Before that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at NetApp from January 2006 to December 2014. Ryan started their career as a Software Engineer at Eyefinity from March 2000 to April 2005.

Ryan Cox works with Rohit Gupta - Director, Engineering, Steve Kinney - Head of Engineering, Frontend and Developer Tools, and Smitty Weygant - Director, Solutions Architecture. Their manager is Samar Abbas, Co-Founder & CTO.
