Tom Wheeler

Tom Wheeler has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Tom'smost recent role is as a Principal Curriculum Developer and Developer Advocate at Temporal Technologies, where they create and delivers technical content to introduce developers to the company's technology. Prior to this, they worked at Cloudera as a Senior Product Manager, Principal Curriculum Developer, Senior Curriculum Developer, and Curriculum Developer, focusing on designing and developing technical training courses. Before Cloudera, Tom served as a Principal Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at Object Computing, Inc., where they worked on aerospace engineering tools and mass properties analysis applications. Tom also worked as a Software Engineer Level IV at WebMD and a Senior Software Engineer at Teralogix. Tom's early experiences include roles as a Senior Programmer/Analyst at A.G. Edwards and Sons, Inc., a Training Specialist at Productivity Plus, and Assistant Manager of Technical Support at Midwest Internet, LLC.

Tom Wheeler attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 1994 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications, specializing in Public Relations. In addition to their degree, they also obtained two certifications: Cloudera Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH) from Cloudera in May 2012, and Cloudera Certified Developer for Apache Hadoop (CCDH) from Cloudera in December 2011.
