Michael Divito

Michael DiVito is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as a Staff Scientist/QC Cell Culture Technologist at Tempus Labs, Inc. since May 2020, where responsibilities include the research and development of positive sequencing controls for oncological NGS panels and the management of cancer cell lines. Prior to this role, Michael was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine from January 2016 to April 2020, focusing on the hepatic differentiation of induced pluripotent stem cells and the development of acellular liver scaffold systems. Michael's academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, where work encompassed both research and teaching roles, including innovative experiments in mechanical engineering courses. Michael also holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
