Wiktor Schmidt is the Executive Chairman of Netguru, the digital consultancy he co-founded in 2008. Under his leadership as CEO (2008 – 2019), Netguru has become one of the fastest growing companies in the EU. As the Executive Chairman, Wiktor is responsible for the company’s external presence, co-running key initiatives such as supporting diversity in the company, developing Netguru’s social footprint and implementing sustainable growth strategies. He believes in workplace transparency, diversity, and equality. Netguru’s culture is a natural realisation of his drive to build a workplace in which he would personally like to work. In 2019 Netguru was welcomed as part of the United Nations Global Compact, committed to achieve SDGs 3, 5, 10 and 13. His efforts led Netguru to become a Certified B Corporation in 2020. As a member of the Mission Covid-19 initiative Wiktor offers free leadership support to local organizations and movements. Wiktor is a technology enthusiast, investor, and an avid relationship builder. He’s a member of YPO, where he actively supports the community as a Technology Network Board Member, Regional Board Member, Chapter Board Member for YPO Poland, YPO Europe One and YPO Global One Event Champion. Wiktor is also an active member of Founders’ Pledge. As a young leader, Wiktor was recognized by Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe Awards, EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Forbes Diamonds, Business Gazelles, Polish Business Council. He curates discussions and speakers at various events, including Web Summit, World Economic Forum in Davos, Disruption Forum series, Economic Forum in Krynica, Horasis Global Meeting, Copenhagen Democracy Summit, or Personal Democracy Forum. Wiktor Schmidt does meet the independence criteria set out in the Act on Statutory Auditors, Audit Firms and Public Supervision of 11 May 2017 and the requirements set out in the Code of Best Practice for WSE Listed Companies.
