Susan Lyons

Susan Lyons, PhD, currently serves as a Climate Change Curriculum Writer and Editor at Ten Strands since August 2024. Previously, Susan held several roles at Great Minds from October 2019 to September 2024, including Senior Manager of Editorial and Senior Science Content Editor, focusing on K–12 science curriculum accuracy and professional development. Prior positions include Science Content Specialist at Measurement Incorporated and Course Developer at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. As Science Curriculum Design Manager at IXL Learning from August 2016 to May 2018, responsibilities included coaching, project management, and developing inclusive content. Susan's academic background includes a PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where a significant research and teaching portfolio was established.
