To make sure that enough properties were built and there are enough workers to staff SDA, much of the focus has been on providers. This means the voice of people with disabilities who live in SDA has been overlooked. The NDIA have funded Tenant Voice to make sure that the issues that impact people living in SDA are heard, and that people with disability are at the very centre of design, implementation and evaluation of SDA. 

Tenant Voice will form reference groups made up of people who live in SDA that will meet at least quarterly to understand the SDA experience. Tenant Voice will engage with NDIA and providers to ensure that decision makers consider the voice of people with disability. All of our facilitators live in SDA and have a lived experience of SDA life.
