Catherine Chan

Catherine Chan is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in journalism and corporate communications. They began their career as a reporter with the South China Morning Post and other outlets from 1991 to 1997, and later served as a legislative aide. From 1997 to 2001, Catherine held the position of Head of Regional Corporate Communications at BASF East Asia Regional Headquarters. They transitioned to Tencent in 2003, where they led Investor Relations and Global Communications until 2021, and currently serve as the Head of the ESG Coordination Office. Catherine earned their Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA from Northwestern University in 2008 and a Master’s degree from the University of Birmingham in 1995.
