Hao Xu

Hao Xu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainability and urban development. Since September 2021, Hao Xu has served as Vice President of Sustainable Social Value and Vice General Manager of the Carbon Strategy Department at Tencent. Prior to this role, Hao Xu was a partner at McKinsey & Company from April 2014 to the present and worked as a secondee project manager for the World Economic Forum's Future of Urban Development Initiative between January 2013 and March 2014. Previous positions include Manager of Strategy & Sustainability Services at Accenture, Manager of Sustainability & Climate Change at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and Project Manager for the Low Carbon High Growth Project at the British Embassy in Beijing. Hao Xu's academic qualifications include a PhD in Civil Engineering from The University of Sheffield, a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Nottingham, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Nanjing University.
