John Shao

John Shao is currently the CEO of Centauri Technology, a subsidiary of Tencent based in Singapore, where they lead operations and have successfully obtained a "Major Payment Institution" license. Previously, John held various senior roles in prominent financial technology companies, including Vice President at MasterCard and Director at Worldpay, where they managed business development and strategic partnerships. With extensive experience across multiple countries in the Middle East and Asia, John has a strong understanding of both domestic and international payment markets and has been instrumental in launching innovative projects and establishing cooperative frameworks with government and regulatory bodies. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
