Min Hu

Min Hu, PhD, is an experienced investment professional with a focus on deep tech, biotech, healthcare, and sustainability. Currently serving as Director of Deep Tech Investments at Tencent since 2021, Min Hu oversees investments from Series A to pre-IPO stages. Prior experience includes a role in growth impact investments at Lightrock (2020-2021) and deep tech investments at AV8 Ventures (2019-2020), where Min Hu concentrated on AI and digital innovation applications. From 2013 to 2019, Min Hu worked in various roles, including strategy consulting and venture capital. Academic credentials include a PhD in Human Genetics, Genomics, and Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Peking University. Min Hu's research at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute involved human population and evolutionary genetics, utilizing statistical models and computational simulations to analyze genome sequencing data.
