Wei Qiu

Wei Qiu is a Research Engineer at Tencent since March 2024, specializing in the development of AI agents utilizing Reinforcement Learning and Large Foundation Models for LightSpeed Studios. Wei's academic background includes a PhD in Computer Science from Nanyang Technological University, complemented by a Master of Engineering in Software Engineering and a Bachelor of Management in E-commerce from South China University of Technology. Prior to current employment, Wei accrued extensive experience in the field through roles such as a PhD student and Research Associate focusing on Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning at Nanyang Technological University, and internships at LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS and Sea AI Lab, where contributions included building LLM agents and conducting Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning research.
