Wei Xiao is currently an Expert Researcher and Team Leader at Tencent's Ethereal Audio Lab (TEA-Lab), where they lead research and development for next-generation solutions and algorithms that integrate signal processing with deep learning. Previously, Wei worked as a Senior Research Engineer at Huawei Technologies, focusing on speech quality evaluation and enhancement for voice communications. They also served as a Principal Engineer and Audio Architect at Huawei, where their innovations included the collaborative music playback feature, Huawei SyncPlay. Wei is a co-chair of the Audio Subgroup of the Audio Video Coding Standard Workgroup of China and has contributed to various MPEG Audio Standardizations. Wei holds an MPhil in Communication and Information System from Central South University.
