Yang Wu

Yang Wu is a Principal Researcher at Tencent since June 2021, focusing on both academic research and industrial applications. Prior to this role, Yang served as a Program-Specific Senior Lecturer at Kyoto University from July 2019 to May 2021 and held the position of Guest Associate Professor at Nara Institute of Science and Technology during the same period. Yang was an Assistant Professor at Nara Institute of Science and Technology from December 2014 to June 2019 and worked as a Researcher at Kyoto University from January 2011 to November 2014. Early in the career, Yang was a Graduate Student at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Xi'an Jiaotong University from September 2004 to December 2010. Yang completed a Ph.D. in Control Science and Engineering, specializing in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems, at Xi'an Jiaotong University and earned a B.S. in Information Engineering from the same institution, with an additional educational experience at the University of Pennsylvania in 2007-2008.
