Chris Smith

Chris Smith is a highly experienced electrical engineer with a robust background in battery and charger technologies, currently serving as a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer at Tennant Company since April 2012. With expertise in designing and releasing Lithium Ion batteries for production machines, Chris has also held roles as a Test and Reliability Engineering Supervisor and Senior Electrical Engineer, focusing on warranty reduction and cross-functional collaboration. Previous experience includes project engineering positions at Whirlpool Corporation, Grand Transformers Inc., MTE Corporation, and US Steel, where Chris contributed to projects related to product testing, design, and electrical maintenance management. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and an Associate Degree from Lansing Community College.
