Michael Lavdas

Michael Lavdas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the medical and engineering fields.

Michael is currently the Director of Engineering at Aufero Medical, where they design and fabricates devices to improve cardiac catheter ablation surgeries.

In addition, they are a Founder & Board Member of Tenomix Inc., a startup focused on developing a robotic system to enhance the staging process of colorectal cancers.

Previously, they worked at Western University as a Medical Innovation Fellow, where they collaborated with clinicians to generate novel solutions for healthcare challenges. Michael also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Senior Mechatronic Systems Engineering Design course.

Their experience also includes working as a Molding Design Contractor at Idealfit Spacer Technologies and as a Mechanical Engineering Intern in R&D at Trudell Medical International. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Manufacturing Technician at ViTAL Biomedical Technologies and as a Researcher at the Robarts Research Institute, where they developed mechanized devices for cardiac catheter ablation surgery and control systems for catheter manipulation.

Michael Lavdas has a diverse education history.
