Federico Martello has a wealth of experience in various fields. Federico began their career in 2000 as an Office Assistant for SIRA SRL (Fire Protection Systems). In 2001, they worked as a Shop Assistant for CUSL (Bookshop of the University of Milan). From 2004 to 2012, they worked as a Private Math and Chemistry tutor. In 2008, they were a PhD student at the University of Twente (TNW/BMC group, former PBM group). From 2009 to 2013, they were the Research Unit Coordinator, FIRB Project and Research Scientist, Advanced Biomaterials Platform at Fondazione Filarete. During this time, their activities included coordinating a PostDoc and PhD students team, supervising the Platform’s R&D service for external customers, and project planning. In 2012, they were a Lecturer at Collegio di Milano and in 2013, they were a Lecturer at the University of Milan. Also in 2013, they became the CEO and President & Chief Operating Officer at Tensive, a startup focused on the development and commercialization of implantable resorbable prostheses. Their roles at Tensive included relations with public and private institutions, company's Administrative and Financial management, Fundraising, HR management and industrial production line setup.
Federico Martello obtained their PhD in Industrial Chemistry from Università degli Studi di Milano and University of Twente in 2008. In 2010, they completed a Business English Certificate from Castle School of English in Brighton, UK. In 2007, they attended a Summer English school at Regency College in Brighton, UK. In 2005, they earned an M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry and Management from Università degli Studi di Milano. In 2014, they completed an Intellectual Property Management course at MITO Technologies. In 2012, they earned a Certificate in High Tech Entrepreneurship from SeedLab.
