Irini Gerges

Irini Gerges has worked in the field of biomaterials since 2010. In that year, they began their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Politecnico di Milano. In 2011, they took on the role of Senior Researcher in Advanced Biomaterials Platform at Fondazione UNIMI. In 2012, they became a Co-founder and CTO of TENSIVE, a company focused on the development of implantable resorbable biomaterials for the reconstruction of large bone and adipose tissue defects.

Irini Gerges received their Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences with a Major in Chemistry from Ain Shams University in 1996-1999. Irini then went on to pursue their Laurea Magistrale in Chimica from Università degli Studi di Milano from 2003-2005. Irini completed their education with a PH.D in Biomaterials from Università di Pisa in 2006-2009.
