Michael Smith

Michael Smith is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in hardware engineering, particularly in system-on-chip (SoC) development. Currently serving as Sr Director of Hardware Engineering at Tenstorrent Inc. since November 2020, Michael has previously held significant roles at Marvell Semiconductor, Aquantia Corp., XtremeEDA, Qualcomm, Atheros Communications, Intellon, Cogency Semiconductor, and LSI Logic. With a strong background in design, verification, and project management across various powerline communication technologies, Michael has demonstrated expertise in leading diverse engineering teams and driving innovative solutions in mixed-signal and digital designs. Michael earned both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
