John Walker

John Walker, PMP, has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. John began their career as an Engineer Officer in the US Army, where they held various leadership roles. In these positions, they successfully managed operations, supervised and trained teams, and executed important missions.

Following their military service, John joined TechWise as a Force Modernization Manager. In this role, they oversaw the fielding of new equipment for a combat brigade, ensuring its timely and safe implementation.

John then transitioned to Tepa Companies, where they served in multiple roles. As a Quality Control Manager, they were responsible for ensuring projects adhered to established requirements and specifications. Next, they worked as a Project Manager, overseeing the full cycle of construction projects. John then progressed to a Senior Project Manager role, where they managed both technology and construction projects, developing and implementing detailed schedules and effectively communicating with stakeholders.

Moving up within Tepa Companies, John became the Director of Project Excellence in the Construction Services Division. In this position, they planned, directed, and coordinated operational activities, implementing efficient systems to meet organizational needs and supporting strategic goals.

Most recently, John assumed the role of Director of Corporate Risk Management at Tepa Companies. In this capacity, they are responsible for evaluating and implementing new tools, processes, and approaches to improve existing methodologies.

Throughout their career, John has demonstrated strong leadership and project management skills, effectively collaborating with diverse teams to achieve organizational objectives and ensure successful project outcomes. Their extensive experience in risk management, operations, and construction make him a valuable asset in implementing efficient and cost-effective solutions.

John Walker, PMP obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. John also holds additional certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute obtained in February 2018, and the Registered DOD RMF Practitioner (RDRP) from BAI Information Security obtained in October 2019.
