Mik Lyles

Mik Lyles has worked in a variety of roles in the media and marketing industries. From 2012 to 2019, they have held positions at UC Berkeley, McClure Images, Independent Contractor, Filmmaker, and tEQuitable. At UC Berkeley, Lyles served as an Assistant Video Coordinator, where they filmed team activities and interactions during away trips, worked directly with the Video Coordinator on video projects, and assisted in the creation of a short film for the Pac-12 Networks. At McClure Images, they were an Assistant Creative Director, collaborating with the Creative Director on the conceptualization and storyboarding of visual ideas, and aiding in the production of filming, photography, and web graphic design. As an Independent Contractor, Lyles was a Creative Director, conceptualizing brand initiatives to increase engagement with target markets, and creating visual components such as video, photography, and web design. At Filmmaker, they were a Director and Screenwriter, Producer and 1st Assistant Director, and Editor. Lastly, at tEQuitable, they held the roles of Product and Marketing Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, and Sales & Marketing Operations Associate.

Mik Lyles began their educational journey at Bishop O'Dowd High School in 2008, where they attended until 2010. Mik then attended University of California, Berkeley from 2010 to 2014, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Media & Communications. Finally, Lyles attended University of California, Los Angeles from 2016 to 2018, graduating with a Master of Fine Arts in Film Directing.
