Max Petrenko is currently the Vice President of Engineering, AI, Applications, and Data at Teradata, having assumed this role in 2025. Prior to this, Max held various positions at Amazon, including Entrepreneur in Residence for Special Projects and Principal Scientist within Amazon Selection and Catalog Services, where they led initiatives in GenAI and Agentic AI. Max co-directed the Semantic AI and Creativity Lab at East Texas A&M University from 2013 to 2021 and worked in roles focused on ontology and computational linguistics at organizations such as RiverGlass Inc., the IMF, and Holler. Max is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics at Purdue University.
