Paul Brown

Paul Brown is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in database management systems and innovation. Currently serving as an Engineering Fellow in the Technology and Innovation Office at Teradata since July 2017, Paul previously held the position of Chief Architect at Paradigm 4, leading the development of SciDB, a computational database designed for advanced analytics. Prior roles include Senior Technology Staff Member at IBM Almaden Research Center and IBM, where Paul contributed to groundbreaking database technologies and optimization techniques. Earlier experience includes significant contributions at Informix as Chief Plumber, focusing on research and architecture for extensible DBMS technology. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Queensland.
