Dave Plewes

Dave Plewes has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and telecommunications. Dave currently holds the position of Solutions Architect - Team Lead at TeraGo, where they shares thought leadership, communicates with customer leadership teams, and provides architectural perspective across the company's portfolio. Prior to this, they worked as a Solutions Architect at TeraGo for three years.

Before joining TeraGo, Dave worked at Allstream for several years. Dave served as a Sr. Product Manager SIP and a Sales Engineering Manager, where they coordinated account strategies, designed customized network solutions, and ensured alignment with customers' IT and corporate objectives. Dave also held the role of Sales Engineer, focusing on simplifying clients' IT environments and designing solutions that included network, security, unified communications, collaboration, and data center/cloud strategies. In addition, Dave was a Network Analyst/Developer at Allstream, proposing and developing an internal web-based network incident report tracking tool and identifying network issues for improvement.

Dave's early career included working at AT&T Canada as an IP Network Operations Team Leader, where they integrated the AT&T IES IP NOC into the Allstream Network Operations Center and handled client escalations. Dave also served as a Senior Network Administrator at AT&T Canada, resolving network incidents and providing feedback to the organization. Prior to that, they worked as a Network Administrator at Netcom Canada.

Overall, Dave Plewes has a strong background in solutions architecture, sales engineering, and network operations, with a focus on delivering effective IT solutions and enhancing customer experiences.

Dave Plewes attended Seneca Polytechnic from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a degree in Computer Engineering (CETC). Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at LCVI from 1987 to 1992. In terms of certifications, they obtained the CompTIA Cloud Essentials and CECP (Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional) certifications in 2013, and the Cisco CCNA certification in December 2011.
