Umar Khan

Umar Khan is a seasoned data architect with extensive experience in leading teams and developing robust data infrastructures. Currently serving as a Staff Data Architect at TeraWatt Infrastructure, Umar leads a team of engineers and data scientists, focusing on high-performance data pipelines and scalable data infrastructures built on Databricks, Apache Spark, Kafka, and Airflow. Previously, as a Senior Data Architect at SelfDecode, Umar played a pivotal role in migrating to a micro-service architecture and designing a petabyte-scale data lake for genetic data analysis, enhancing decision-making capabilities for marketing and executive teams. Earlier in Umar's career, as CTO at Ark Paradigm, contributions included implementing an MLOps framework and promoting machine learning for financial statement analysis. Umar holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo.
