Stephen Alkins

Stephen Alkins, Ph.D., serves as the Diversity, Equity, Access, Inclusion, and Belonging Officer and Principal Investigator at the REVISE Center, focusing on advancing equity in informal STEM education. As a Boston School Committee Member appointed by Mayor Michelle Wu, they advocate for equitable educational experiences within Boston Public Schools. Alkins has previously contributed as a Learning Specialist and STEM Coordinator at Massachusetts Bay Community College and as a Graduate Student Researcher at Brandeis University. They have research experience rooted in cellular neuroscience from roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and have been actively involved in educational policy as an Education Policy Fellow at the Rennie Center for Education Research and Policy.
