Alec McGovern

Alec McGovern is a skilled software engineer and educator with a strong background in front-end development and team leadership. Currently serving as a Founding Engineer at Terial since November 2023, Alec has previously held multiple roles at Shift Lab, including Solutions Architect and Lead Developer. Experience also includes a position as Senior Software Engineer at InRhythm and a Software Engineer role at Berminal. Earlier in the career, Alec contributed to Microsoft's Ambient Computing and Robotics team while at HCL America Inc. Additionally, Alec has a passion for teaching, demonstrated through the role of Lead Teacher at Creative Coding for Kids. Alec holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Bowdoin College, earned in 2014.
