Lance Strickland

Director, Engineering at Terma

Lance Strickland has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Lance is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at TERMA Group, a position they started in 2023. Prior to this, they held various leadership roles in the United States Air Force, including Materiel Leader, Common Avionics Program Manager, Deputy Director of Engineering and Technical Management, Deputy Division Head of Automatic Test Systems, and Assistant Director of Operations. Lance has led large organizations, managed budgets, and executed major programs, such as delivering communication, navigation, and targeting systems for no-fail missions and implementing a plan to rotate engineers across different organizations for their professional growth. Lance has also served as the Executive Officer and Program Manager in their previous roles. Lance's expertise lies in engineering, technical management, and test planning and execution.

Lance Strickland pursued their education at various institutions. Lance obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama in the years 1997 to 2002. Lance then pursued a Master of Arts in Leadership from the University of Oklahoma from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, they attended the USAF Air Command and Staff College from 2011 to 2012 for the Senior Leaders Program. Following this, they attended the USAF Air War College from 2018 to 2020 for the Executive Leadership School. Lance Strickland also has multiple certifications in various fields, including Program Management, Engineering, Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering, Science and Technology Management, and Test and Evaluation.
