Steen Hommel is currently the Executive Vice President for Public Affairs, Communication and Partnerships at Terma Group, a position held since 2025. They previously served as State Secretary/Chief Operating Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and as State Secretary for Trade and Global Sustainability from 2020 to 2022. Steen was also the Ambassador at the Royal Danish Embassy in Warsaw between 2012 and 2016, and they directed Invest in Denmark & Innovation from 2016 to 2019. Their career in public service began with a focus on customer relations within the Trade Council at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Denmark from 2009 to 2012. Steen earned a Kandidatgrad (Cand.Polit) from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 1991 to 1997.
