Alex Chee

Alex Chee is the co-founder and CEO of Termina, a startup that provides applied AI for quantitative due diligence across VC, PE, and private credit sectors. He is also a co-founding partner at Tribe Capital, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm managing $1.8B in assets.

At Tribe Capital, Alex led product development to improve investment decision-making. As Chief Product Officer, he launched, structured, and scaled products like Firstlook, which enhanced the firm’s proprietary data and early-stage investment strategies.

Before Tribe Capital, Alex headed product and engineering at Social Capital, where he applied technology to support key aspects of the investment process and company growth. There, he also co-led the seed investment and scout program with Arjun Sethi.

Earlier, Alex managed product at Joist, driving the expansion of a residential contractor platform across North America—later acquired by Evercommerce. Prior to Joist, he co-founded MessageMe with Arjun Sethi, a company that was eventually acquired by Yahoo.

Alex began his career after taking an indefinite leave from Stanford University to direct product at LOLapps, where he led R&D for new games and platforms, a venture later acquired by 6Waves/Nexon.
