Mike McDowell

Mike McDowell has worked in the technology industry since 1988. Mike began their career as an Engineering Analyst at Digital Equipment Corp. In 1998 they moved to BMC Software as a Principal Systems Engineer. In 2001, they joined Veritas Technologies LLC as a Senior Sales Engineer. After three years, they moved to Coradiant as a Senior Sales Engineer, eventually becoming the Director of Sales Engineering and Vice President of Sales Engineering. In 2011, they returned to BMC Software as a Manager of Software Consultants. In 2017, they joined Cloudability as a Director of Sales Engineering and Enterprise Sales Engineer. In 2019, they moved to Apptio as a Director of Sales Consulting. In 2020, they joined Deep Instinct as a Senior Sales Engineer. Currently, they are a Sales Engineer at Ternary Inc.

Mike McDowell obtained a Bachelor of Systems Engineering (BSE) from the University of Pennsylvania between 1982 and 1987. In 2018, they obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In 2020, they obtained a FOCP: FinOps Certified Practitioner from The Linux Foundation.
