Fernando Villegas

Fernando Villegas has extensive experience in engineering and environmental management, currently serving as the Director de Ingeniería y Medio Ambiente at Ternium since 1994. In this role, Fernando is responsible for the company's investment plan, overseeing the design, execution, and implementation of projects across Ternium's plants in Mexico, Guatemala, and the United States, including mining operations in Mexico. Fernando also ensures compliance with environmental regulations and promotes continuous improvement in environmental practices. Prior to Ternium, Fernando held various positions at DBH from 1993 to 1994, including Gerente Ingeniería and Control de Calidad. Fernando holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Austral in Buenos Aires and has also studied at Universidad Nacional de Rosario.
