Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions, currently working at SMART Technologies since July 2010. In the role of Electrical Engineer, Chris focuses on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and other educational devices. Previously, as a Firmware Engineer at the same company, responsibilities included firmware and diagnostic tool development. Experience also includes serving as an Electronics Contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary. Early career experience includes working as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, where Chris contributed to control systems for the forestry industry. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
