Lateef Assi

Lateef Assi, PhD, PE, PMP, LEED, is currently the Construction Materials Department Manager at Terracon, where they oversee material engineering projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completions. They have held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor and Head of Department at Mazaya University College and Al-Mustaqbal University College, focusing on structural engineering education. Lateef holds a PhD in Structural and Material Engineering from the University of South Carolina-Columbia and has previously contributed to research in sustainable concrete and structural health monitoring. Their extensive experience includes project management in highway and bridge construction for the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
