Dave Baska, PhD, PE, GE, RG, CEG, is a Senior Consultant at Terracon and an Affiliate Associate Professor at the University of Washington. They began their career in 1984, focusing on geotechnical projects and committing to earthquake resilience by 1991, culminating in a doctorate earned in 2002. At Terracon, Dave leads the geotechnical earthquake engineering group, contributing expertise to numerous significant projects across the U.S. and internationally. They currently prepare students for professional practice while also having taught courses such as Soil Mechanics and Foundation Design at the University of Washington.
