Alon Katz

Alon Katz is a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at TerraPower LLC since August 2021, specializing in thermohydraulic and structural testing and analysis for the next-generation nuclear industry. Prior to this role, Alon served as a PhD Candidate and Researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology from July 2015 to August 2021, focusing on advanced technologies in mechanical engineering. Alon's earlier experience includes working as a Research Engineer at Orthopaedic Research Laboratories from March 2012 to July 2015, where responsibilities encompassed testing medical devices and employing numerical simulation tools. Alon began professional training as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Ben Gurion University, instructing university-level courses in solid mechanics and fluid mechanics. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, an M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution.
