Grant Spence

Grant Spence is a Program Manager for International Safeguards at TerraPower, where they oversee the development of an IAEA-based safeguards system for the Natrium reactor. Prior to this role, Grant served as a Senior Engineer focused on Risk Informed Design and Safeguards and held various positions at the International Atomic Energy Agency, including NDA Systems Engineer and Nuclear Safeguards Inspector. They also have experience as a Nuclear Research Engineer at Zel Technologies and as a Postdoctoral Technical Research Fellow at the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-proliferation. Grant is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Texas A&M University, where they have also earned their Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Nuclear Engineering.
