Jamie Getchius

Jamie Getchius is a seasoned professional in the nuclear engineering field, currently serving as Principal Engineer for Nuclear Licensing at TerraPower since October 2023. Jamie has extensive experience in nuclear licensing and regulations, with prior roles including Licensing Engineer for Advanced Reactors at TerraPower LLC and Senior Licensing Engineer at SHINE Technologies. Jamie's career also includes significant positions at Exelon Nuclear Byron Generating Station, where duties ranged from Senior Reactor Operator to Principal Regulatory Engineer. Additionally, Jamie has a background in public service as a Member of the Board of Trustees for Rockford Public Library and previously as an Alderman on the Rockford City Council. Jamie's military experience includes various roles in the US Navy, achieving leadership positions aboard submarines and at the Navy Personnel Command. Academically, Jamie holds a Master’s degree in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with Honors from the United States Naval Academy.
