Matthew Buechner

Matthew Buechner is a Mechanical/Nuclear Engineer and Project Manager at TerraPower Isotopes LLC, currently leading the test campaign for a reusable spacecraft aimed at sub-orbital human spaceflight. With extensive experience in engineering operations and program management, Matthew has previously served as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and held various roles in the US Navy, including Submarine Warfare Officer. Their academic credentials include a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University. Matthew's leadership and project management skills were demonstrated while revitalizing training programs and managing engineering operations on a nuclear submarine.
