Matthew Mareka

Matthew Mareka has extensive experience in nuclear engineering and management, currently serving as Senior Manager of Fuel Handling Systems at TerraPower LLC since December 2018. Previously, Matthew held various roles at General Dynamics Electric Boat from August 2009 to December 2018, including Engineering Supervisor, where responsibilities encompassed managing nuclear engineers and overseeing mechanical and systems engineering aspects of submarine repair projects. Additionally, Matthew worked as Senior Nuclear Test Engineer, gaining significant leadership skills in reactor plant testing and certification, and as Reactor Plant Fluids Systems Engineer, providing engineering services for submarine overhauls. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Systems Engineering with a minor in Nuclear Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and is pursuing an MBA in Business Administration at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, expected to complete in December 2023.
