Michael Montecalvo

Michael Montecalvo is an accomplished professional in the nuclear engineering field, currently serving as Senior Manager MCFR Licensing at TerraPower since January 2022, following a diverse career that includes multiple roles in licensing and reactor analysis. Prior to TerraPower, Michael held various positions at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission from 2013 to 2022, and at Constellation Energy from 2000 to 2013, including Senior Reactor Operator and Director of Human Performance. Additionally, Michael has ventured into children's literature as a book author with A Turtle Named Fish Taco since July 2022. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Fundamentals from the Rochester Institute of Technology, a Bachelor's in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Excelsior University, and specialized training in Human Factors Engineering from the University of Michigan. Michael's career began in the United States Navy as an Electrician aboard the USS Greeneville.
