Patrick Donnelly

Patrick Donnelly has a diverse background in the nuclear engineering sector, with experience spanning various roles and organizations. As a Senior Licensing Manager and Principal Licensing Engineer at TerraPower in February 2025, Patrick previously held positions as Regulatory Affairs Manager and Principal Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company from March 2022 to April 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Project Manager at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission from November 2008 to January 2012, with responsibilities involving review of Engineered Safety Features and Human Factors Engineering for the AP1000 Design Certification Amendment. Further roles at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission included Construction Inspector and Resident Inspector focusing on inspections of safety-related structures for the AP1000 plants at the Vogtle site from August 2017 to June 2018. Patrick began a career at Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding as a Nuclear Engineer, working on advanced submarine designs and test engineering. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from The College of William and Mary - The Mason School of Business.
