Sandy Lee

Sandy Lee, C.P.M., A.P.P., has extensive experience in procurement and contract administration. Sandy currently works as the Lead Sr Contract Administrator & Procurement Program Manager at TerraPower LLC, where they manage the acquisition of energy research and development technology goods and services. Sandy'sresponsibilities include managing subcontract activities and ensuring performance, change control, quality, cost, and schedule management.

Prior to their current position, Sandy worked at Sound Transit from 2000 to 2018. During their time there, they held various roles such as Business Operations and Contracts Administrator. In these roles, they were responsible for creating procurement and business continuity plans, performing spend analysis, and managing vendor risk for spare parts inventory. Sandy also led all aspects of procurements and contracts, including creating solicitation documents, negotiating with vendors, and finalizing contracts.

Sandy also has experience in leadership roles at the Institute for Supply Management - Western Washington. Sandy served as the Immediate Past President and Emerging Professionals Chair, providing strategic assistance and increasing membership among young professionals. Sandy also served as President and collaborated with the officers and Board of Directors to further the organization's mission and goals.

Earlier in their career, Sandy worked as a Purchasing Agent at NEC Business Solutions, where they managed IT equipment inventory and partnered with various departments to maintain correct inventory levels. Sandy also worked as a Buyer at Intel, where they managed inventory for a semiconductor fabrication plant and ensured consistent quality of materials and services from multiple suppliers.

Sandy Lee, C.P.M., A.P.P. holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Global Supply Chain Management from Portland State University. Sandy also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications - Broadcast Journalism and a Certificate in Contract Management, both from the University of Washington. In addition, Sandy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting and International Business from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business. Sandy has obtained additional certifications including Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.) and Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) from the Institute for Supply Management.
