Cheminformatics Scientist at Terray Therapeutics

Zack Strater has a strong background in the field of chemistry and has held various positions throughout their career. Zack started their professional journey as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Whitman College in 2012. After that, they joined Columbia University in the City of New York as a Graduate Research Assistant in 2014. During their time there, they focused on developing organic molecules for photocatalysis and energy storage, and their work was published in renowned chemistry journals.

In 2019, Zack moved to XL Batteries, where they served as the Chief Science Officer until 2020. Following this, they joined DeepCure in 2021 as a Machine Learning Scientist. At DeepCure, Zack played a significant role in designing an automation platform for reactions and product isolation. Zack also optimized reaction conditions, created automated tools for data analysis, and implemented cheminformatic tools.

Most recently, Zack joined Terray Therapeutics in 2023 as a Cheminformatics Scientist, demonstrating their continued commitment to advancing scientific research in the industry.

Zack Strater completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Whitman College from the years 2010 to 2014. Zack then pursued further education and obtained a PhD in Chemistry from Columbia University between the years 2014 to 2019. In 2021, Zack attended Galvanize Inc for a Data Science Intensive program, although the field of study is not specified.
