John Baxter

John Baxter is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in instrumentation and control systems within the nuclear energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer at Terrestrial Energy since January 2023, John has previously held senior positions at Candu Energy, where responsibilities included advising on commissioning for the Embalse Nuclear Generating Station and providing procurement support at various nuclear facilities. John’s earlier roles at AECL involved leading teams for refurbishment projects and system testing, while earlier experience includes engineering positions in Romania and China. John holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Queen's University.
