Tom Batty

Tom Batty has extensive experience in the military and business. Tom began their career in 1979 as a Soldier and Officer with The Ontario Regiment (RCAC). Tom then went on to serve in a variety of roles with the Canadian Armed Forces, including Commanding Officer of the Canadian Army Trials and Evaluations Unit, Canadian Forces Liaison Officer at Fort Knox, KY, Officer Commanding of the Combat Vehicle Squadron, Adjutant and Operations Officer of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Moncton-Total Force), Battle Captain and Squadron Second-in-Command of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Germany), Instructor and Standards Officer at the Royal Canadian Armour Corps School, Troop Leader and Regimental Liaison Officer of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Germany), and Troop Leader of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Petawawa). In 2018, Tom Batty transitioned to the business world, taking on the role of Chief Operating Officer at Terris.

Tom Batty has completed a variety of educational experiences. From 2018 to 2019, they attended the Wallace McCain Institute and earned a Certificate in the 2iC Program - Business. From 2002 to 2004, they attended Sullivan University and earned a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc. During the same time period, they also attended the United States Army Command and General Staff College. From 1992 to 1993, they attended the Canadian Armed Forces Canadian Land Force Command and Staff College. Lastly, from 1981 to 1983, they attended Ryerson University and studied Aerospace Engineering.
